English First Additional Language (FAL) is offered from Grade 8 to 12 as part of the National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS). It’s for non-native English speakers to gain language skills for academic studies and daily communication. From Grade 8 to 12, skills progress in complexity. By Grade 12, proficiency is expected for success in final exams and beyond.
